Local Kingsborough residents, Rob and Karen Lockley, have owned STIHL Shop Kingston since 2011. They have grown the business to become a well-recognised leader in the industry.
STIHL Shop Kingston is now one of the largest STIHL stockists in Tasmania, proudly displaying their Elite Dealership, awarded by STIHL Australia.
Due to the continuing growth of the business, in 2015 Rob and Karen had to expand into a new premise to accommodate the influx of stock to meet the demands of the local market. This move took them up to the new location now at 84 Browns Rd, Kingston.
Their range greatly expanded, proudly stocking STIHL, MASPORT, TORO, and BRIGGS & STRATTON. Products included chainsaws, brush cutters, blowers, vacuums, pressure washers, water pumps, generators, and battery-powered ranges, plus accessories, oils and safety gear to compliment.
In 2016 they launched a new line of in-store products... ATVs and side-by-side vehicles. They have demo models to “try before you buy”, enabling them to get you in the correct model you need, thus ensuring you will be happy with your choice for many years to come.
Due to many, many enquiries from their customers, in 2017 they introduced the YCF range of French motorcycles to the shop floor. This not only brought another high-end product through the doors, but complimented all other products, from the weekend freestyler, to the Hobby farmer, or "just want to have fun" customer.
Because we all know that safety comes first, the widely-recognised O'NEAL brand of riding gear soon found its place on the floor. This great range of safety gear includes gloves, goggles, tops, pants, helmets boots and protective body armour, for both the male and female enthusiasts, ranging from child to adult sizes.
Not only do Rob and Karen pride themselves on the quality products they have to offer for sale, but just as importantly, they are able to provide full servicing and support to help you maintain the investment you have made in your equipment. With fully-qualified onsite mechanics, they will give you personalized attention ensuring you are provided with the service you expect from a quality provider. If you are not able to get it to them, they also provide a pickup and delivery service (fees may apply depending on location).
